Best Ethiopian restaurant ever
DESCRIPTION: The injira bread is so thick and tender and delicious, I want to wear it. The platters have a lot of food, so don't be deceived by their apparent flatness. The red lentil stew is the yummiest dish, and everything is beautifully seasoned. The first time I ate at Asmara I refused to wash my hands all evening. I just sat at the ballet with my hands up to my nose, so I could continue to smell the amazing spices. I've eaten at other Ethiopian restaurants since then, but Asmara is still the best, in my opinion.

If You Like Spicy Food, You Will Love Taste of Africa
DESCRIPTION: I am addicted to this little hole in the wall. The food is very accessible to all (e.g., black-eye peas, spinach, yams, plantains), but the daily, home made hot sauce takes the food to new heights, absolutely amazing. The hot sauce is very spicy (i.e., made with habaneros), but is very complimentary of the flavors of the dishes. Overall, if you enjoy spicy food, this place will be on your regular hit list. The service is very laid back. As a result, you should allot yourself a couple of hours, but the Cameroonian family waitstaff is incredibly friendly and always a joy to be around. If chic ambiance and prompt service is a necessity for your dining pleasure, then this spot may not be for you. If not, then you will find the food, hot sauce, and non-conventional staff make this restaurant a real treat.

DESCRIPTION: At Veronica's you're getting the real deal. Real Nigerian food. Yum. If you don't like spicy food or if you're vegetarian, just ask and they'll modify the food. If you don't understand the menu, ask.

I Love It, Best African food on the West Coast
DESCRIPTION: Veronica's is a wonderful dining experience and popular so if your dining in enjoy your guest while waiting or if ordering to go do so at leat 45 mintues in advance, and the food is well worth the wait. The prices and portions are beyond reasonable. Me and my boyfriend are addicted!
